We all know how great Nagawicka Lake is and that’s why there is so much Buyer Interest in Homes and Properties on Nagawicka and that’s why the inventory on the Lake goes so fast.

What I do, is watch this market immediately around Nagawicka Lake and try to put my Buyers in the Best Position as soon as I have any indication that a property is coming to market. I’m proactive with mailings and Postcards. Often these properties are brokered prior to them even coming to market; they don’t actually come to “MarketPlace” (on Zillow). Sylvester was my Grandfather.
Sylvester Price and his Brother, Leo bought 18 acres of land in 1921 from a farmer on Nagawicka Lake. The land borders are Price road straight west to the lake and then again bordered by the Park River & Nagawicka Rd. They bought it somewhat as an investment but soon made into the summer retreat from the city. The 2 brothers were also partners in Price Erecting started in Milwaukee. They agreed to subdivide the parcel and gave many of these lake lots to people and business with whom the company did business with, i.e. Harnischfeger, Masterson Steel & original Briggs & Stratton. These parcels where eventually resold thru the years. At the end there was land east of the lake that Sylvester kindly gave to all of the parcels that were divided.

Today it just looks like a planned subdivision out lot. Those owners were very grateful and when the time came to names those roads, they agreed to name the road after Sylvester. Family lore has it that this parcel was previously sold for a sum of two horses in the 1800’s.
